2 Cups plain flour
2 Dessert spoons baking powder
4 Dessert spoons sugar
1 teaspoon white vinegar
3 Dessert spoons vegetable oil
Milk to make a thick batter
6 rashers of bacon
Place the bacon strips on a baking sheet and bake in the oven on 180 degrees to your liking. Set aside.
Combine flour, baking powder and sugar in a bowl. Blend oil, egg, vinegar and some milk together and add to flour mix. Whisk through adding extra milk to make a thick batter. Allow to sit while you heat a non stick fry pan, add a dob of butter and pour an amount onto the pan and allow to bubble before flipping.
Serve with the bacon and maple syrup.
